Mayank Markande was a part of India’s Under-19 squad in 2016. The leg-spinner hails from Bathinda, Punjab and idolizes spin legend, Shane Warne. He showed his prowess in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2018 and was picked up by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 auction, that happened days after the domestic T20 league.

The leg spinner has been a quiet addition to the Mumbai Indians squad but has created ripples with his bowling. The youngster from Punjab has impressed one and all with his consistency and his success is a big credit to the scouting programme deployed by the franchise.
