The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is an IPL franchise team whose headquarter is at Mohali, Punjab. Established in 2008, this franchise is jointly owned by actress Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman. They have again dismantled their team before the upcoming auction. Since the 2010 IPL, the team have been playing their home games at either Dharamsala or Indore.
Kings XI is one of the original franchises to have played the inaugural edition of the IPL but they are yet to win this tournament. They reached the final of the tournament in 2014 but lost the game to the KKR.
Achievements:
- 2014 was the team most successful season with 11 out of 14 victories.
- Wriddhiman Saha’s 115 off just 55 balls that helped scored a total of 199/4.
