The Royals is co-owned by Manoj Badale and Shilpa Shetty. They are a team of young fresh players and are capable of unearthing hidden talent. Royals were popular even before the start of the tournament and they justified this by their performance in the first season.
Over the years, RR has always looked for new players and still managed to be highly competitive almost every season. Rajasthan Royals (RR) have decided to go in with a clean slate ahead of the IPL Auction 2019. After a disappointing performance in IPL 2018, they will be looking to bounce back this season and try and repeat their heroic win in the first edition when they ended as champions of the series. They have got some good pace bowlers for T20 2019 in their squad. Batting department is well covered up by two high qualified wicket-keeper batsmen Samson and Buttler.
AS they have released Jaydev Unadkat and Ben Laughlin, they will now be surely looking for some good fast bowlers. Steve Smith will be back giving the team a big boost but they might still look for a middle-order replacement for Heinrich Klaasen.
Achievements:
- Winning the inaugural edition of IPL in 2008
- Runner up in Champions League T20 2013 edition.
- Shane Watson was the most capped player of the team.
